Smederna is focusing its operations

Smederna is relocating its project operations to Västberga (Hägersten). The purpose is to streamline the project company towards contracting activities and become a specialized player capable of delivering tailor-made steel construction solutions to the market. The company also plans to change its name to Smederna Projekt AB. In conjunction with the closure of its own manufacturing operations, Smederna Montage AB will be established, where we will gather a strong team of skilled assemblers and welders for our projects. Through close collaboration with manufacturing subcontractors, we aim to create competitive deliveries to the market for steel forging of large structures.

Daniel Martinwall, M Refine Group, says: "By focusing on the project business, we will clarify our competitiveness in the different areas. Smederna designs, procures, project-manages, installs, and CE-marks deliveries to our customers, and with this change, we will become an even stronger supplier."

Both companies will be consolidated as subsidiaries under Smederna Group AB, which is part of the M Refine Group.
