Swedfarm has resumed production of 16-week-old chickens at the company’s facilities in Tolarp and will gradually revitalize operations long dormant.

Mikael Mörk, CEO of Swedfarm, says: “The market has a demand for our high-quality laying hens and has requested larger deliveries in the future. That is why we have invested in restarting production at our Tolarp facilities, which have been closed for many years. It is very rewarding to receive such appreciation for our animals from our customers.”

The Swedfarm Group has a total of 10 barns at Tolarp. Production is already planned for six of them, while further plans are underway to renovate the remaining four in order to meet the required standards for production. Renovations of the last four barns in Tolarp are expected to continue through to the end of the year, with production scheduled to begin in 2026.
